Cosmetic Surgery Consultation
L plastic surgery normally has a complimentary consultation for an initial new patient Cosmetic Surgery Consultation. Exceptions include consultations to evaluate procedures or fix surgeries performed elsewhere. The consultation is an important time to meet Dr. Lee to discuss your health issues and to determine if you are an appropriate candidate for plastic surgery.
Reconstructive Surgery Consultation
Reconstructive surgery consultations are under the umbrella of the insurance health plan and require the standard protocol of a specialist visit. If you are a member of an HMO, you will need a “Referral or Preauthorization” to see Dr. Lee for your specific reconstructive needs. There are times when an initial “cosmetic surgery” issue blurs into a “reconstructive surgery” issue. In order to obtain authorization and to allow the insurance company to cover the treatment plan, the consultation will be treated as a Reconstructive Consultation and will follow the rules and regulations of the insurance plan as a specialist visit.
About the “L”
Many people have asked me about the L in L plastic surgery. The L stands for many aspects in Life, including Living your Life in the here and now, Loving your self— mind and body, and Learning about the many facets of plastic surgery. The L is about eLegance between form & function; and yes, it also has something to do with my last name.
